Bonnie and Clyde’ director Arthur Penn dies at 88

Director Arthur Penn has died, a day after his 88th birthday. The legendary director’s daughter Mollu Penn confirmed that the legendary director, who was best known for making ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and ‘Little Big Man’, died at his Manhattan home of congestive heart failure, reports the BBC.


Penn made his name directing Tony-award winning Broadway shows such as ‘The Miracle Worker’ and ‘All the Way Home’. He began to carve out a career in film in the 1960s with his work, which was inspired by the decade's political and social upheaval.


But it was the 1967 hit movie ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, based on true story of famed outlaws, which he will mostly be remembered for. It was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including best director and Estelle Parsons won the prize for best supporting actress. A memorial service has been planned for the filmmaker before the end of the year.

The old news is that in February this year Xavier Naidoo and Cassandra Steen won the ECHO awards 2010. The ECHO is a German music award granted every year by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie. Naidoo won in the category Best Male artist national rock/pop and Steen in the category Best Female Artist National Rock/Pop.

The good news is that I found a great video where Xavier Naidoo and Cassandra Steen performed the song " Wann" ("When") on MTV Unplugged.

Xavier Kurt Naidoo is a German singer and songwriter who's parents are from South Africa and Sri Lanka. Cassandra is also a German singer, but she is born to an African American father and a German mother. Naidoo is also co-founder of the German Anti-racism group Brothers Keepers. And Cassandra Steen and Ne-Yo sung the official song of the movie The Princess and the Frog" Never knew I needed".

She stole the show at last year's fashion bash when she strode out wearing revealing lingerie just five weeks after giving birth to baby Lou.


But Klum has decided to leave Victoria's Secret behind and handed in her resignation to bosses.


She says, "All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria's Secret. It has been an absolutely amazing time."

The 52-year-old has posed for yet another racy Dolce&Gabanna advert, this time while wearing an incredibly low-cut black body suit and hold-up stockings.


Accessorised with sunglasses, a crucifix and a red string Kabbalah bracelet, she prowls around an unmade bed with her cleavage threatening to spill out of her lingerie.


In another frame, she reclines on white sheets accompanied by a black and white cat.


Madonna struck up a friendship with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana while she was filming Dick Tracy in the early Nineties and they were invited to designer her costumes for The Girlie Show tour in 1993.


The Italian designer duo announced their new collaboration with Madonna last year, which came after she spent her birthday with the pair on-board this yacht in Italy last August.


They said at the time: 'To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.'


Madonna has since launched a fashion label of her own with her teen daughter Lourdes called Material Girl.


Meanwhile, there are mounting rumours Madonna will be performing on the X Factor's first live broadcast on October 9.


The show is already renowned for drawing in some of the biggest names in the music business, with past performers including Beyonce, who dueted with 2008 winner Alexandra Burke on the programme.


A source told the Daily Mirror that she has verbally agreed to appear on the show, saying: 'Madonna would be perfect to kick-off the last stage of the competition.'
